The Toro Company announced that Dale Getz, CSFM has been named Grounds Management Sales Manager for the central United States. Getz, formerly athletic facilities manager at The University of Notre Dame, will work with sports facilities, municipal parks and organizations, schools and universities to provide grounds maintenance solutions.

"Dale brings 20 years of grounds management skills to a customer base that will benefit from his years of expertise," said Jim Heinze, director of sales and training for Toro. While at Notre Dame Getz managed the general grounds areas as well as the golf course before spending 10 years managing the turf on Notre Dame's hallowed sports facilities. "He's a leader in the industry and an asset to our organization," Heinze added.

Getz is an 12-year member of the Sport Turf Managers Association and was one of the first 5 members to earn the Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM) distinction. He also serves as a board member of the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation and member of the Michiana Golf Course Superintendents Association a chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Getz received a bachelor's and master's degree in forestry from Michigan State University and a master's in administration from The University of Notre Dame.
