BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - (November 2001) - The Toro Company announces a new website specifically targeted to the sports turf professional. www.TOROsports.com features advice from sports turf professionals on all aspects of the job.
"We wanted to facilitate a place where sports turf professionals can share information," said Rick Rodier, Toro director of commercial business grounds marketing. "Our goal is to create a community to bring the sports focused turf professionals together where they can share ideas concerning their daily challenges."
The website will establish a library of information on a variety of sports turf subjects including mowing, aerating, and fertilizing.The site is designed to go beyond just turf to include tips for working with personnel, coaches, and parents. Sports turf managers will set the topics they want to discuss by submitting questions. There is also an option to submit a field photo to be posted on the website as the Feature Field.

In January 2002, Toro will host the 4th Professional Turf Symposium for pro league turf managers in Las Vegas, NV.
